kyrisong1 Posted July 12 #1 Share Posted July 12 I haven't been to Colon in years, but when we did visit they had the Indian people right outside the ship, with drinks and fruits as well as tons of shops and handcraft stations. Any chance that is still happening somewhere? Thanks

cruislovin Posted August 15 #4 Share Posted August 15 What time are the shops open? We will be in port only from 5:00-9:00 PM and wonder if we can get off the ship to browse there in the evening hours.
BillB48 Posted August 16 #5 Share Posted August 16 Sounds like your ship is doing a partial transit and the 5-9PM stop at Colon is to pick up the passengers who took a shore excursion from Gatun Lake. With that in mind, the hours for the stop are fairly flexible and can be adjusted as necessary. Normally passengers are allowed off the ship to visit the mall associated with the pier during the stop and as long as there is a ship docked most if not all the stores are open.
