Virgin deep blue extras

Hi all - we are contemplating trying Virgin Voyages.

Does Virgin status match any RCL tiers to their highest tier (which seems to be the Deep Blue Extras tier)?

Is there a chart that shows what RCL status they would match to which tier?  On RCL we get multiple free drinks a day based on status and we are hoping to get into the Deep Blue Extras tier for a small bar tab if we try Virgin.

Thank you.

I believe at this time only match to Deep Extra.

Virgin Voyages currently only matches to the lower tier. They have too many people on the high tier on some cruises now so status match to Deep Blue ended at the end of 2023 and you need four cruises to get those benefits on the fifth if you didn’t already earn them or match in 2023.

All the details are on the website

That's not the way it works. For a couple years, anyone who had status on one of the lines they were matching got Deep Blue Extras.  Now if you apply for match, you get Blue Extras.

They have never matched the perks of other lines--that would be really difficult with so many other lines and so many levels on each line.  You either matched into the VV loyalty program or you did not....and you got the perks of the match being offered at that tiem.

People who either earned or were awarded Deep Blue Extras will continue to get those benefits.  Those who matched as of 2024 will get the lesser "blue extra" benefits.

Geeze, wouldn't it be amazing if people stopped worrying about matching status benefits, and sailed on Virgin to try a new and totally cool cruise experience?

Imagine sailing on a cruise line like Virgin and not getting up-charged for every silly dining venue, or a tea bag in the buffet. Having WIFI and gratuities already figured into the cost of your cruise.

Imagine not basing your cruise on a few comp drink tickets.

Imagine not sweating the small stuff on a cruise vacation.

Imagine a cruise staff that is happy, because the company treats them like family.

And then the dog barked and I woke up.

And to get in the elevator and not all the floor buttons are lit up. 😁

No. They did last year and if you acquired DBE then, you keep it until at least the end of next year. Now you will get “Blue Extras” for any level of “status match.” Basically, that’s a speciality coffee each day and some laundry.

Deep blue extras gets you $100 free bar tab, 2 specialty coffees a day (each), upgraded internet, one bag of laundry with a couple of pressed items and a piece of dry cleaning, priority boarding after suites and packages.

Worth noting that the benefits are per person, not per cabin.   Yeah the Blue Extras aren't much, but then you aren't paying for them.  People have usually paid for their status benefits.  It took a lot of cruises and a lot of money to qualify for that top tier on whatever line.
