Salerno shore excursion - not Pompeii or Amalfi Coast

Hello, we will be docking in Salerno this Fall and would like to know if there are any sites/villages worth visiting either by ourselves or through a shore excursion tour company. We have already been to Pompeii, Naples, Positano, and Sorrento and would like to see something else. Are there any other interesting villages near Salerno worth visiting?

There are other villages along the Amalfi Coast that you can easily reach by ferry:  Travelmar ferry timetables - Fast ferries on the Amalfi Coast

Beyond the Amalfi Coast, another interesting option is to visit the amazing Greek ruins at Paestum.  You can easily combine this with a visit to a buffalo mozzarella farm.

Paestum travel - Lonely Planet | Italy, Europe

There are two well know mozzarella farms near Paestum, one within walking distance (a mile and a quarter) and one a little further, requiring a car or taxi.

The closer one is Barlotti:  Barlotti Caseificio Paestum Sito Ufficiale

The slightly further away one (but more interesting, in my opinion) is Vannulo:  Tenuta Vannulo

Amalfi and Ravello are more than worth seeing and I find Ravello more beautiful than Positano. Great pottery shops and factories in Vietri. I also recommend Paestum or Caserta if you want to go inland.
