When you're in a suite, you don't have to book first night specialty dinner ahead of time. They will bend over backward to get you the day/time/restaurant. When we were in a suite (one and only time), we did the first night without issue. We went to the desk at Crown Grill after we boarded and the only question was "where would you like to sit tonight". We booked a second night for Sabatini's and were never charged. So we actually got 2 dinners.

Thank you.

Just reserved our first night dinning in Sabitini's no charge. I was completing our information and thought I would look and it took our reservation no card required.

Hubby feels better it is done, he stresses over the little things sometime.

Good to hear though they treat suite guests with a little TLC 🙂.

It doesn't always work that way. Many have reported that the system tried to charge them. It's probably a programming glitch...sometimes it works, sometimes it tries to charge for the res.

Question, how did you book with the package and not be charged? We have a gifted first night specialty dinner with our suite but when I tried to book the site wanted my CC#? Is there a place you go for no charge?

Thanks

Your free embarkation dinner is booked by calling the dine line when you board. They leave tables open for suite passengers on that night. We have done this on our last 5 cruises

Guess I should have known better will make sure when we board. They haven't even fixed my password for five weeks and three requests, still going in with our booking.

You are one of the lucky ones. We are in a suite on the 9/29 Grand sailing and cannot make first night dining reservations without being charged. Just curious, does the app show you have Reserve Collection dining? Ours does not and it’s allowing me to make a reservation in the available dining rooms.

I went in through the web I don't use the app. Went to first night specialty dining clicked on the time for Sabitini's clicked reserve and a box came up it's a gift and reservation was made.

Hallelujah, it worked! Thanks so much. I had to make sure I was logged out of the app before going into the website and low and behold it said I had a dining credit, and I was able to make the reservation without a charge. The reservation shows up in the app on my journey. I also took a screen shot of it just in case.

Wonderful, that's right dining credit not dining gift 😁.
