Crazy Hotel Prices In Feb. At Pt. Canaveral

Looking at hotel prices in Feb. at Canaveral or within 30 minute drive and prices are really high. Also looking at hotels with cruise packages and some of the prices are $400-500. I know its Florida in Feb. but they are really squeezing the cruisers. May have to stay around Daytona Beach night before cruise for a decent price. Looking at decent hotels and would appreciate any suggestions. Will most likely park at the port for convenience.

check places in Titusville especially the area around the intersection of 50 and I-95 ... you'd be about 30 minutes from the port.  There are several 'basic' hotels <chain> and several chain places to eat. Even ALDI and WALMART to pick up supplies.

Titusville has been mention. You can also stay near MCO. The real issue is that prices are up everywhere.

We always stay at the Hyatt in Titusville. Rates are usually less than Port Canaveral.

You could always check the Melbourne area, a few exits south of the port. Nothing touristy at all about Melbourne. Mid range chains are represented at several of the exits. 

 

Daytona rates will be high in Feb around the car race dates. 

Orlando would be out of your way, driving from SC.
