How are referrals working these days

I have not done a referralv in a few years, but want to do so for a cruise I am booking with family for next year. I can no longer find a referral link on Princess website. I did see on a FB page a reference to a referral bonus linking directly to a Princess Planner. Is this how referrals work these days?

I recently convinced my brother and his wife to book a cruise with me.  I wanted to refer them to my CVP to get the OBC.  Unfortunately, my dumb bro booked the cruise directly on the website, and while I was able to get them shifted to my CVP, the fact that he'd booked the cruise directly meant I couldn't get the referral OBC.

 

So tell your friend to contact your CVP (if you have one) BEFORE they book anything.

Thanks. I will be doing the booking so that wont be a   problem this time. But you used to be able to simply do an email referral and the recipient  could sign up and create an account, and then book however they chose.

On the Princess.com web site log in.

Scroll down all the way to the bottom.

Under Cruise Deals you will see refer-a-friend.

Select and the screen comes up.

I found out the hard way that you need to fill out the referral before you book the cruise. So fill out as per the post above, then make sure you screenshot it and if you can include the date, even better. That way you can prove you filled out the form before the cruise was booked if you need to.

I can't even guess why. I use a desk top. Comes right up.
