How often are shore things added?

My December cruise just had shore things open up and there's zero options available for San Juan.

 

How often should I be checking back to see when more options are added? Is it a regular timeline (e.g. 45 days out) or a random, check once a week thing?

I've done many cruises with VV, and I've never seen shore excursions added once they're uploaded on the app.  VV has done a poor job, in general, when it comes to excursion choices for all their itineraries.  I guess they're too busy raising the prices of everything.

Shore things are generally one of the worst things VV does.  There are several private companies that do a good job though.

I have seen the same shore thing (after being sold out) appear again, but it's hit or miss...you never know. I've not seen a new one added, ever.

Very interesting, thanks all. Excursions just opened over the weekend and nada. I'll assume no more will show up and decide whether third party or on my own. Thanks.

On my two sailings, more excursion were added around 45 days out.  On my upcoming sailing they added almost 10 new excursions for Ibiza around 30 days out and a couple here and there for the other stops.

When our Shore Things first opened, because one of our stops is normally a cruise end point, the only thing showing was airport transfers. Those got removed a few days ago.

 

Now, at 113 days out, we're showing five Shore Things for that location. Ours seem a bit limited at the moment (across the board - the most we have showing at a stop is 10), so I'm interested to see if more will show up.
