Apex speciality dining discount

On previous Celebrity cruises we have always been offered quite considerable discounts on speciality dining once onboard the ship as they were always short of customers. Does this happen on Apex or are we better to book before the cruise in your experience?

IMO if you want a specific restaurant at a specific time, you’re better off pre-booking during a sale.  There’s no guarantee that ship-board prices will be better or the time/day you want will be available.
