shareholder obc benefit clarification

Recommended Posts

Is this OBC for pre-cruise only?

backstory:  About three weeks ago, we applied for the shareholder credit and the OBC showed up on the cruise planner within one day. (top right of the page)

Today, checked cruise planner (just to double check about luggage tags) and was surprised to see "You have a $250. credit to spend on PRE-CRUISE purchases" scrolled across the top of the page.

Before we make a phone call, thought to check with you experts if this is correct (or not)

Thanks for any info.

The shareholder OBC that I have received in the past has always been $100 and never said anything about pre-cruise. I used it for things I wanted on the ship-dinners, wine. Maybe your TA gave you some more.

Either.  What ever does not get used pre cruise gets transferred to your on board account

The amount varies based on the length of the cruise.  They booked a longer cruise and the shareholders is $250

thanks, fatbird and Ken.  we had not seen that "pre-cruise" notice in the past.

It started appearing in the so-called pre-cruise about 4-5 months ago, at least mine.

thanks, nelblu.

So, if we do not make any pre-cruise purchase, we should expect to see the OBC on our account on board?

Yes, it was just a change in terminology but in practice nothing at all changed
