Never again on Carnival.  We took the inaugural cruise on Celebration from South Hampton to Miami.  The price was great but we found out you get what you pay for.  I've gambled on previous Carnival cruises thus the good price.  I loved the casino and the ship was lovely, just too big.

But the dining room was just plain awful.  We did make it through three nights on our fourteen day cruise.  We had a table and on our three nights a morbidly obese man in a scooter needed to get by our table.  He was too big to fit by unless I moved my chair.  The wait staff just stood there and watched as I tried to move my heavy chair so he could get by.  My husband was on the other side of him and couldn't get up and help me.  Our waiter was right beside me but never tried to help me move my chair and I do have some mobility issues which is why I came into the dining room with a cane.  But once the music started he was dancing and having the time of his life.

We cruised with Carnival before Covid and while their food was never the greatest it was okay and we enjoyed it.  On this cruise one night my husband ordered a pasta dish.  It didn't come with the rest of the food for those at our table.  Eventually they brought a plate of what he though was spaghetti-os.

There were other restaurants and we did not go home starved to death but the main dining room food is BAD.

If Carnival is your idea of fun, go for it but we'd rather spend a little more and have good service and decent food.

😉 Using the cane as a pry bar comes to mind. JK

I look forward to the dancing/singing every night.  The wait staff works very hard o preparing for this and most seem it genuinely enjoy entertaining. We usually have fixed dining and our wiaters usually tell us excitedly that they will be dancing that night.
