Rare Radio Posted October 11 Author #176 Share Posted October 11 (edited) Good morning and 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟲 𝗼𝗳 "𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘" 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀. Hello everyone, We have 2 more sea days back until we arrive at our home port at Cape Liberty. We were traveling west to get past Milton. Last night, there were heavy winds (36-44 mph) The Captain suggested that we started heading north around 5am. The winds and seas (20 ft seas)are pretty rough at this point. It is difficult for many passengers to walk around. The good news is at least they have opened the outside (Deck 15). Though Deck 16 is still closed. Captain Angel suggested that we should be getting into much calmer seas in a couple of hours. And each hour, we get further away from the eye of the storm. Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in. Radio We are heading north (NNE) We are moving farther away from the eye of Milton. We have some choppy seats PXL_20241011_132207458.TS.mp4 It is unusual to see the pool deck with the chairs. The pools are interesting to watch. PXL_20241011_124334749.TS.mp4 I can see white caps for miles The "Oops I'm sick bags" have been placed at the stairwells. . Rare Radio Posted October 11 Author #179 Share Posted October 11 (edited) Hello everyone and good evening. We are currently sailing to the north, East of Florida, and are actually on the original track if we were sailing from Nassau to Cape Liberty. We will have to alter our course a bit because of a SpaceX launch and we need to be out of the launch zone. The winds have died down a bit, but the seas are still a little rough. Captain Angel suggested that it should be smooth sailing by tomorrow morning. I had a very good lunch today at Playmakers, on the Boardwalk (Deck 6). The service and food quality were superb. It's kind of funny, or maybe unusual but I have had better service in the MDR, Playmakers, and Solarium Bistro. The service I had in Chops, Jamie's, and Hooked was average at best. Shouldn't better service be normal with premium dining? The pools stay closed all day, but The Perfect Storm slides were open. Many passengers still laid out to get some sun. Tomorrow will be our final day at Sea and weather forecast is favorable. Tonight should be much calmer on board Symphony of the Seas. Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for tuning in. Radio Our current location. We have much calmer seas tonight at sunset. PXL_20241011_222009917.TS.mp4 Playmakers on the Boardwalk had excellent service and very good food. I did not get a chance to dine at Johnny Rockets this week Breakfast is complimentary here, but there is a fee for lunch and dinner. The Ultimate Abyss begins on Deck 16 and goes all the way down to the Boardwalk on Deck 6 There is no fee for this attraction. Kids seemed to love the "Lucky Climber" play area on the boardwalk. The MDR Chefs came out of the galley to thank all passengers for dining. My favorite dessert of all on the ship is Baked Alaska, served on formal nights. Wayfinder DAY 6 . Rare DaKahuna Posted October 12 #180 Share Posted October 12 @Radio We were talking tonight about maybe dining at the Solarium Bistro but I cannot find menu's for lunch or dinner anywhere. We had breakfast there on Harmony but it was just a miniature version of the Windjammer. Is there any chance you might know what is served for lunch and dinner at the Solarium Bistro, especially dinner, since reservations are required? Thank you. Rare Radio Posted Saturday at 01:24 PM Author #186 Share Posted Saturday at 01:24 PM (edited) Good morning and 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟳 𝗼𝗳 "𝗟𝗜𝗩𝗘" 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗦𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗻𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀. Today is our final day at sea. Also the last day of my cruise on the Beautiful Symphony of the Seas. Yes, I will spend a portion of the day packing up all of my stuff from the last 14 days. I feel like there are still several things that I have yet to do onboard. I will try to do some of those things today. If I don't get to them, I will have a reason to book for next season. Symphony of the Seas is scheduled to sail from Cape Liberty in 2025 and 2026. Just like last week, the day will be filled with activities. Indoor activities will include games, trivia, demonstrations, and spa classes. Outdoor activities will include pool games, FlowRider, Ultimate Abyss, and Perfect Storm. Here are a few pics from this morning. . . Radio Our current location Early morning Cantilever Whirlpool on Deck 15 Wayfinder Day 7 I will be attending this event. Rare Radio Posted Sunday at 12:36 AM Author #195 Share Posted Sunday at 12:36 AM Hello everyone and good evening. My packing is done, my Casino Royale fun is over. All my tickets have been cashed in. I would like to say that Casino Royale was very "𝘙𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘰 𝘍𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘺" for Week 1 . . . Not so much for Week 2. She was so friendly on Week 1, that I am double happy. Thank you Casino Royale. We are currently sailing off the coast of Rehoboth Beach, DE. We are scheduled to pick up the pilot by 4:30 am, and we should pass under the bridge between 5:00 and 5:30. Today was a delightful sea day. The winds were very light (7 mph), and the seas were very calm. It was as if we were sailing in a large pond. There was a large Veterans Commemoration in the Royal Promenade this morning. The Symphony of The Seas orchestra played, and Cruise director Elvis offered kind words to all veterans. When "Taps" was played at the end of the service, there may have been a few tears. It was a heart-wrenching salute. Captain Angel suggested that our docking may be delayed by 30 minutes or so because a container vessel must leave the channel where we need to dock. Our arrival is scheduled for 6 am, but it may be as late as 6:30 when we actually are able to dock. Here are a few pics from today, and thanks for tuning in. Radio Our current location Central Park this morning on DECK 8 It's lovely to walk through Central Park on Symphony of the Seas Captain's corner was at 10 am I thought there would be more passengers attending Captains Corner (L-R) Hotel Director, Captain Angel, and Cruise Director Elvis were featured to answer any questions about the Ship or their Cruise. There were a lot of attendees at the Veterans Event. All Veterans were honored by this commemoration. The USA flag cupcakes was a nice touch.
