Nitemare Posted April 4, 2006 #2 Share Posted April 4, 2006 1) Bring as much water/soda as you'd like, in suitcases, in grocery store bags, or however you want. 2) Check this board and the "Ask A Cruise Question" board for the many "how best to smuggle booze aboard" discussions. There are literally dozens and dozens of posts to help you plan this
Sheffie Posted April 4, 2006 #3 Share Posted April 4, 2006 Just an FYI: the water on the ships is probably purer than the bottled water you buy! The reverse osmosis treatment works well! Save your time, (and space) and just bring something to put water into. Have a great cruise!
trish1c Posted April 4, 2006 #4 Share Posted April 4, 2006 Actually the cruise lines reserve the right to limit how much of anything you bring on board. They usually don't balk at a 12 pack of soda, especially if it's something they don't offer. There's no need to lug all that bulky water. Just bring 1-2 bottles & refill them as needed on the ship. As someone suggested do a search for alcohol / smuggling & you will get quiet an education.
celbercrz333 Posted April 4, 2006 #5 Share Posted April 4, 2006 Everyone here suggested we take our liquor in plastic bottles (they do make cheap whiskey in plastic bottles) and wrap several pairs of jeans around it. Make sure it's in your packed luggage and not your carry on luggage. Put some bubble wrap around it to disguise it. We successfully smuggled whiskey aboard a Celebrity ship and a Carnival ship. We took those dry packets of whiskey sour mix on board and we left it in our cabin in plain view of the room steward. They won't rat you out, they want a good tip at the end of the cruise. Bring along a plastic bottle with a zippered pouch-sleeve (ours is Rubbermaid). Make your drink and bring it up to the pool in the afternoon. You might have to go back to your room for refills. They do give you an ice bucket and cups in your room. Good luck.
