When are cabins assigned?

Hi, we were guarantee obstructed view; two staterooms our son and ourselves. So today was the big day on the Princess website with our booking number I found our assignments.............YEA, YEA. UPGRADED. to category CC, which is on Baja Deck,,,,,,,back of the ship.....covered deck is on that deck so will be fabulous for us to view the scenery on the Alaskan Inside Passage on the Regal Princess. We are absoultely thrilled! So the upgrade Fairy touche her magic wand on us for the second time; last cruise was a balcony, but not many balconies on this ship so I can understand. We were upgraded to Aloha with balcony on the Star on transatlantic sixteen months ago.............good luck,,,,,,,to you.........saililnsal
