Options from ship to airport

What are my options to get from the ship to the airport? My plane leaves at 6:00 pm. What time can i stay on the ship till? Do i have to book a transport thru NCL or is there something else i can do? Any suggestions??

A little more information on what ship, and which airport might help with getting answers to your posts.

 

Usually cruisers have to be off the ship 4 -5 hours after the ship docks, so that other cruisers can get on.

 

Other options:

 

NCL usually offers tours of the port city after the cruise, with drop off at the airport. Prices are different, check the excursions booklet or on-line at NCL.com.

 

You could rent a car and do what you want for the day and return the car to the airport when you leave. Usually an extra charge for a one way rental (dropping off at a different place than originally renting from.)

 

You could just take a taxi, shuttle bus, or use the NCL transport to the airport and take along a good book.

 

Hire an independent shuttle/tour van/limo for the day.

 

I'm sure there are more ideas but that's what comes to mind now....

Depends on what city. Some places you should use the cruiseline's transportation. Some places you shouldn't.
