Probably one day. When someone's message count gets back to 5000 we'll see them again.

That won't happen. It's not that the count is wrong, it's just that the database is too massive to move. So they only moved threads that started in the last 3 months. Therefore, your count correctly shows the number of posts of yours that they actually moved.
