cruise/vacation insurance

Can anyone recomend some good companies that offer cruise and air insurance? We are buying our air seperate from the cruise line if that makes any difference. Thanks :)

Check out insuremytrip.com! They have some great rates. Just be sure you get insurance that is in "first position". You don't want to have to file any claims with your homeowners insurance.

Go to insuremytrip.com Check out Travelex Travel Lite policy. It's a primary insurer and has some of the least expensive rates. Just factor in an estimation of your air along with your cruise to get your correct premium. If anything changes, you can always call and they will modify your policy/premium. I've got nothing but good things to say about this company. Their customer service is fabulous.

I got our insurance through travelinsured.com. We don't have air fare included because we are driving to the port.

We also have used Travelex's TraveLite product.

 

Whatever you do, it is important to do some research to make sure you are getting real insurance, with primary coverage, from a highly rated company.

Look into STA travel insurance. I am doing that right now.

Ditto with Travel Guard...had to cancel our last cruise (medical) and they were great...had our check within a few weeks.

If you have an American Express card you can get a really good deal on travel insurance, I got my for 1/3 of what the cruise lines are asking...Not sure if its a better price if you have the card or not...
