Room in the front of the boat???

I had booked a balcony room on the Carnival Miracle for June and was put in at the lowest balcony price with the chance of being upgraded...well it was....to a balcony room 3 decks higher but almost all the way up the front of the ship...I only cruised once before and we were mid ship...so I'm just wondering if there is any negatives to being so far up front? Thanks

My husband has a tendency towards motion sickness, and he feels the motion (not in a good way) much more in the front of the ship than midships.

If there are rough seas, you will feel the motion quite a bit. It is better to be as close to mid ship as possible.

The only real annoying thing I have ever noticed by staying in a front cabin was the sound of the anchor being dropped at ungodly hours in the morning.
