Treacher1 Posted April 30, 2006 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2006 We have cruised often and are familiar with dress codes. Prior to our cruise we are doing RCI land tour from Fairbanks to Seward. Is dress code on this portion of trip always casual including restaurants. Also, must you make reservations to dine on the railcar?? Any information or hints about land portion are greatly appreciated. What NOT to miss - what to skip, etc. Any feedback greatly appreciated. Sailing Radiance in July - can't wait - any comments about Radiance as well. Thanks!
Nancyquilts Posted May 3, 2006 #2 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Dress code on land portion is pretty casual. If you get a chance to take the riverboat on the Chena in Fairbanks, it's quite a nice excursion. Nancy
Barbee524 Posted May 3, 2006 #3 Share Posted May 3, 2006 Dress code is very casual. The most you might want is pair of nice slacks. You do not need to make reservations for the dining car on the train. They will come through and ask you if you want to dine and then seat you. Hint if you want to eat right away, sit in the back of the train when you board. They also serve drinks while you are on board. If you want to read my review of the cruise tour we took last year, click on my screen name and you should be able to find it.
