Post Cruise in Hawaii

Booked the Tahitian Princess for 7/19/07. Using Princess for air.

Plan to spend 2 nights in Honolulu after cruise.

At what point before the cruise does Princess "open up" post cruise hotel and excursion options?

Should I use Princess or consider doing my own thing?

Thanks, Andy

I agree, do your own thing, but be careful about where you choose.

I would avoid a towering hotel where there may be large conventions or cruise passengers booked. We prefer the smaller boutique hotels, ourselves. However, on our last stay in Honolulu, we stayed at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Kahala (I just found out that the hotel is under new management and suppose to be even better than when we stayed there - it is now the Kahala Resort and not owned by Mandarin Oriental.) I would not stay in Waikiki or Oahu proper. Kahala has a quiet neighborhood atmoshere and was just delightful!
