balcony bound Posted February 26, 2008 #133 Share Posted February 26, 2008 25' extension cord (for the many times mentioned DH's CPAP since many rooms don't have an outlet by the bed) Although the purser's desk will give you one for a $25 deposit, it is a pain to return OTC for every imaginable ailment walkie talkies Red Bull empty collapsable carry-on sized bag I saw someone mention their favorite fragrance -- that is what keeps me out of the elevators and from attending formal nights -- immediate 12-hour headache from the purfume... sigh

CRUIZIN SUZAN Posted March 14, 2008 #143 Share Posted March 14, 2008 1. cell phone charger (we use phone as alarm clock even if no signal!) 2. photcopies of all important docs in my checked luggage (in case of theft/loss from carryon-much easier to have replaced)-also leave a set home{including copies of your credit cards!!} 3. a REAL hair dryer (you know the ones onboard are wimpy!) 4. duct tape (STILL not reimbursed for damaged/ruined luggage on RCI 11/07) 5. booze (wrapped with bubble wrap inside a large zip loc bag inside a bigger zip loc bag and then a thin beach towel;towel great for balcony lounges) BONUS- extra batteries for camera/walkie talkies/Ipod/gameboy/etc. Shipboard and resort port prices for batteries will make your hair fall out- hmmm- come to think of it- if my hair fell out-that would eliminate the need to pack a hairdryer, hence leaving more room for booze. Maybe I should leave the batteries at home!

burm Posted April 12, 2008 #149 Share Posted April 12, 2008 Definitely I would take clothespins if cruising with Celebrity, which does not have laundromats. They do provide a clothesline across the shower stall, which was handy. I am sure that our room stewart got tired of seeing my underwear hanging to dry :)
