laura215 Posted July 6, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 6, 2006 What is the best cruise out of Ny with kids? How rough is the water in April or MAy? Thanks
PelicanBill Posted July 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 9, 2006 The Royal Caribbean cruises on Explorer of the Seas are great for kids. The water can be calm or rough any day all year... depends on the wind and weather!
2Cruise4Ever Posted July 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 9, 2006 We sailed the Norwegian Dawn out of NYC last Summer with our 2 kids and we loved it! We loved it so much we booked it again for next June and the kids can't wait. OK, neither can I. I already started planning the packing list :D The mid-atlantic coast is very unpredictable. Sometimes it's very rough. Other times it's smooth as glass. But, the good news is that if it's rough, it will only be so for a day or so. Once past the Carolinas the seas should be much calmer. Happy Sailing!!! :)

Everyone seems to talk about one day that is rough when they take a cruise out of NY/NJ or MD. It is unpredictable. I would love to go on one though. It would be so nice to just drive right up to the port.
