Princess Shuttle

We're taking the shuttle from JFK to Red Hook and then back after our cruise. Our flight back home is slated for 7:30PM. Does anybody know how long before our flight that we can check in our luggage? We figure if the disembarkation goes smoothly , we can do a little sightseeing in New York and don't want to lug our luggage around.

I had hoped that Princess would offer post cruise tour options in NYC like they do in FLL. We got our pre-cruise paper work this week and nothing is mentioned. This worked well for us in FLL as the tour bus kept the luggage until we were dropped off at the Miami airport. Although I've got transfers booked I am now looking for a private tour with port pickup and airport drop off. If you find something please post about it and I will do the same.
