masterbaker Posted July 7, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 7, 2006 Our Wal-mart has always carried it but has recently moved it behind the counter in the pharmacy. You don't need a prescription for it but you do have to ask for it at the counter now.
ger_77 Posted July 7, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 7, 2006 It depends on where you're from. Here in the "frozen tundra" AKA Canada, it goes by the name of "Bonamine" - and can be found at any drug store by the Gravol, Dramamine, etc. It works really well and I speak from experience, having tried all the others. Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
cavkc Posted July 7, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 7, 2006 Bonine isn't available at all in the UK (or not that I've found). I tried it for the first time onboard Brilliance of the Seas a couple of years ago and found it to be the only thing that really works for me. You can normally get it onboard, certainly on Celebrity & Royal Caribbean, from the shop or the pursers desk. However, for peace of mind I like to take my own, just in case they run out!! We have ordered them online from the US and they have arrived very quickly.

Yes, and Carnival too. :) If you go to the Purser's desk, it is complimentary. However, as cavkc points out, it's good to have your own supply. For one thing, if you already know you're prone to seasickness, you should take one before you even get on board. The good news is that it's not that expensive to begin with! Rare Keith1010 Posted July 8, 2006 #10 Share Posted July 8, 2006 In the United States it is available at most major drug stores or in stores such as Target and Walmart just to name a few. Look carefully at the expiration dates on the packages. Keith
nat9511 Posted July 8, 2006 #11 Share Posted July 8, 2006 I bought a box of Bonine, 16 tablets at my local Wal Mart for $4.89 yesterday. It was on the shelf and not behind the pharmacy. I take one tablet a day starting the day before we cruise wether I need it or not. Have never gotten sick since I started taking it instead of wearing the patch.
