ATL-Cpl Posted July 13, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 13, 2006 My packing list for my next cruise: Toiletries Swimwear the appropriate underclothes Hawiian shirts (wear to the pool and nicer ones for casual nights) non-logo colored t shirts shorts khakis for casual nights Polos for casual..I use the cruise as an excuse to update my supply. Rent a tux for formal night-(I brought a suit last time, took too much room and had to press it. It's easier to have it hanging in your cabin. Plus, I am well supplied with accessories so I can personalize it). Walking shoes, sandals, 1 pair dress shoes. As a member of the male species you will fit in anywhere on the ship just fine. And you can save room for your DW's 47 pairs of shoes, the duct tape, bungee cords, crock pots, coffee maker and all the other necessities! hajekfam Posted July 13, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 13, 2006 It depends on the cruise line. Celebrity has 2 types of non-formal nights - casual and informal. Informal requires a jacket and possibly a tie. (According to their website, jacket and tie is required, on some of our cruises it did not state a tie in the daily.) Casual night is dockers and shirt (usually collared).
ger_77 Posted July 14, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 14, 2006 mikew0805: I totally agree!!! I thought some whacky designer came up with men's dresses, then I read the title of the thread again and it said "Mens Dress". :o I just know I couldn't have convinced DH to wear one, no matter how popular they might be. Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)
britishiles Posted July 14, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2006 Whew...I thought I was going to have to get fitted myself. :D This year I am taking 3 Hawaiian shirts, 1 Polo, and 1 ribbed black shirt from Perry Ellis to wear on non-formal nights. With my khakis of course.
