babets Posted July 15, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2006 We are driving down for our cruise and are going to park our vehicle at the port. Does anyone know how much the parking is per day? Thanks
Gator0178 Posted July 15, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 15, 2006 Parking is $12/day:eek:
Reijo Posted July 16, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2006 Ditto.............$12/day!
jwhise01 Posted July 17, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 17, 2006 $12/day adds up, especially for a 7 day cruise. We are driving down from Charlotte, NC. We have booked 2 one-way rentals with AVIS. It cost just a little more than paying the parking charge at the port, but there's no wear/tear on your car or the risk of leaving your car in a parking garage all week. There is a free shuttle to get you from the rental location to the port.
Disneycrazymom Posted July 17, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 17, 2006 If you spend the night at the Radisson you can leave your car there for the week, they also have a shuttle.
truffles2 Posted July 17, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 17, 2006 What is the charge for parking per night at the Radisson? And which Radisson is this that you are speaking of? Thanks.
truffles2 Posted July 17, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Also, can you tell me which Radisson you are referring to? (tried to edit, but ????)
radtech Posted July 17, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 17, 2006 sorry to cut in but it is the Radisson at the Port, and there is no charge for parking only the charge for staying at the hotel. :) radtech
truffles2 Posted July 17, 2006 #9 Share Posted July 17, 2006 I would be so happy if you could be a little more specific....I looked at all the Radissons and there was one for Cape Canaveral....is that it? We are thinking (groan) of driving in Oct. Thanks
radtech Posted July 17, 2006 #10 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Sorry, yes that is the one if you are leaving from Cape Canaveral, Florida.:)
Juardis Posted July 17, 2006 #11 Share Posted July 17, 2006 Radisson Resort at the Port http://www.radisson.com/capecanaveralfl And parking is not free....you pay for it in your room rate. $149 (when we booked in June) for 2 double beds, one night, but 8 days of parking are included in that price. Very reasonable IMHO. I think they called it the Cruise Ship Getaway? jwhise01, we're driving from Charlotte too...but we're cruising July 30...when and with whom are you cruising with? radtech Posted July 17, 2006 #12 Share Posted July 17, 2006 We are also cruising on 7/30 on the Mariner of the Seas. Also driving from Charlotte NC. That is funny....:) What ship's are you cruising on? radtech :)
Disneycrazymom Posted July 18, 2006 #13 Share Posted July 18, 2006 Yes, it is the Radisson at the Port. 8701 Astronaut Blvd. Cape Canaveral FL 321-784-0000. I understand there is a Budget Rental Car return within walking distance. I got a rate of $118 / $130 with tax. I do not think you have to book the cruise rate to park, I think any rate will get you the free parking and shuttle. We stayed at Ron Jon last trip but this time we are giving the Radisson a try! radtech Posted July 18, 2006 #15 Share Posted July 18, 2006 Yes I am from Charlotte. Where do you live in Charlotte? My family is cruising 7/30 on the Mariner. Cannot wait already.....:) radtech :)
jwhise01 Posted July 18, 2006 #16 Share Posted July 18, 2006 RadTech - Yep, I live in Charlotte too. On Graham Street - right outside of Uptown. You don't happen to work for Carolinas HealthCare System, do you? Your screenname made me wonder... I work for CHS in HR. Most importantly, Enjoy Your Cruise! aqusis Posted July 18, 2006 #17 Share Posted July 18, 2006 We booked a room at the Quality Suites in Cocoa Beach, $89 per night and they provide parking/shuttle via the Radisson. We did this last year and it worked fine. We parked at the Radisson and actually found it earier to use a cab than deal with their overcrowded shuttle. Hotel is beachfront and, while nothing spectacular, worked for the night and saved us lots of money. We're doing it again in October.
