Travel luv Posted July 18, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2006 Wondering if anyone knows how much cab fare ranges from the miami airport to intercontinental hotel near the port? We are trying to figure out if we should just catch a cab or rent a car for the day before our cruise in Nov. Also wondering if any of you know of any car rental places that will drop you off at the port when you return the vehicle? Thanks

cruznlobo Posted July 19, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 19, 2006 Do you mean $24 from airport to Intercontinental?
sailor05 Posted July 20, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 20, 2006 It should be about $24.00 give or take a buck. I've read somewhere in the past that Alamo will drop you off at the port. They have an office close and run shuttles over.
Travel luv Posted July 20, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted July 20, 2006 Thanks. Just to make sure..that is a flat right correct regardless of how many pax?
signman Posted July 20, 2006 #6 Share Posted July 20, 2006 Yes, it's supposed to be a flat rate, but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if there was a fuel surcharge by now.
Bequia Posted July 20, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 20, 2006 Fuel surcharge of $1 per person has been in place since last October for both MIA and FLL.
cruisin4kicks Posted July 20, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 20, 2006 We took a cruise out of Miami this past May. Cab fare from MIA to the port and back was a flat $24 each way. No surcharge of any kind. There were four of us... we took a regular cab from the airport and we took a cab that was a van after the cruise back to the airport. Tim
