Airpezman Posted July 27, 2006 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2006 My brother and I are both in our twenties. We are looking for people in our age range (college age/young professional). We are booking a cruise on 3/25; however we are concerned whether we will find anyone in our age group. Should we be concerned? Advice? Host Joe Posted July 27, 2006 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2006 Hi Pez, what cruiseline/ship/length of cruise are you considering? I can give you a little advice based on the above information. In general, most cruises that are 7 days, Caribbean, in March have plenty of passengers your age.
doone Posted July 27, 2006 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2006 For your age group, I would suggest the Voyager style ships of Royal Caribbean. You will find the rock climbing walls onboard as well as many other activities. Freedom of The Seas, Royal Caribbean's newst ship, has a wave pool in addition to the rock climbing wall. Hope this helps, enjoy whatever cruise you choose.
BaumD Posted July 27, 2006 #4 Share Posted July 27, 2006 make sure you check the rules of the cruiselines to be sure that your ages don't cause an issue if one of you is under 21. If one person is under 21, some lines require a 25+ person to accompany them.
Cotton Posted July 27, 2006 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2006 If you don't have a passport, you'll need one to cruise after 12/31/06.
Airpezman Posted July 27, 2006 Author #6 Share Posted July 27, 2006 thanks for the help. We are looking to book Carribean Princess on 3/25 OR Valor of the Seas 3/25 or RCL Mariner of the Seas. From what I have read, I should be ok with people in my age group on any of these ships on this sailing date. I am 26. My brother is 24. One major interest is sailing on a ship with our peers. Question: Should we wait for the summer to find our peers sailing or will 3/25 be ok. THANKS PEZ
wrp96 Posted July 27, 2006 #7 Share Posted July 27, 2006 End of March is spring break time, so all those ships will be packed - with kids. I'm in my late 20s and have sailed in March a few times, I've had no problem meeting other people my age.
Host Joe Posted July 28, 2006 #8 Share Posted July 28, 2006 I believe that you would be happy with any of the three cruises you mentioned, especially at the end of March!
