If you've never played Bingo on a cruise, don't be shocked by the cost of the cards. It varies --I think it was $20 for a page of three cards on the Statendam. On a Royal Caribbean ship it was $35 for the same which I and lots of other people thought was very high. /but, of course, I still played, being an old bingo player from way back. I got lucky on the Statendam and won twice for a total of $460 so I was happy to say the least. When the cruise first starts attendance is average so the pots reflect that but they build as the days pass. Good luck!

Thank you for the advice and info. being a long time player myself I know I'll end up playing and spending the money anyway but at least I will be aware of card cost and not looking stupid dropping my jaw at the time. lol lol thank you again:)

On the last few cruises we took (last one on Veendam in March) it was $10 for a single card and $20 for a triple card. You get 4 (maybe 5?) cards of different colors each used for a separate game (first game blue, second red, etc). The first few games are for things like 4-corners, postage stamp, X, etc with the pot going up for each game. I've usually seen it from $100 - $400 per game. The last game every day is for the Snowball Jackpot and is a cover-all. You have to get all numbers within a certain # of balls called (sorry can't remember how many) to get the jackpot. If no one wins within that many it goes on for a much smaller prize and the money is rolled over to the next Snowball game. The jackpot ususally doesn't go until the last game of the cruise and is usually several thousand $ by then. There's also one game during the week for a "free" cruise. It's still $10 for a single and $20 for a triple but only for the one game. The cruise I just booked for next Jan on the Westerdam is the "free" one I won last March. I've never played except on the ship but have also won 3 or 4 other games for a couple of hundred $. It's a fun way to spend some time. Good luck!

I think you can play 2 sets of cards easily especially if you're used to playing in the past. one thing that might help is to take the cards and roll them over your hand which helps to loosen the paper cuts on each number. This prevents you from having to fight with stubborn tabs and slowing you down. Of course, everything is very informal and all you have to do is call out and they'll slow down a little. hope that helps and good luck!

Hi,

We played Bingo only the last night while waiting for the free cruise raffle to take place. It was the Snowball Bingo - and the pot was about $7,000. We were one of three who called "BINGO" - and split the pot three ways! It was right after we won the free cruise! What a night!

Good luck to you, too!

wOW-- winning the raffle and Bingo! you must have almost fainted. That's great. On our last cruise the lady who always sat next to me at Bingo won the free cruise. We were hugging and laughing like crazy. When her husband came in from the casino he didn't believe her at first. Looking forward to hopefully being lucky on our upcoming cruise.
