bboopsie Posted August 9, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2006 We are doing the 6 night tour before our cruise with Radiance, it will be with RCCL and I was wondering if anyone who has been on that tour remembers about how much they spent on foord for that portion and what kind of restaurants you ate in. It is just 2 of us. This will really hel[p in my planning of our trip. thanks Nancy
Budget Queen Posted August 9, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2006 As a ballpark, budget 50% more than you would at home. This allows a cushion for some fantastic meals to enjoy if you choose.
TeeBuccs Posted August 9, 2006 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2006 My husband and I were on a cruise tour back in June and so hopefully I can shed some light on your question. Generally I found the price of food to be about 25% higher than what I am accustomed to at home in Virginia. You can certainly eat economically (fast food at all) if you opt for that route, but we like to dine out somewhat heathly. In Anchorage we ate at Simon & Sieferts (sp??) and found for two to have a nice dinner was about $60 with tip. While in Denali we ate at Alpen Glo for $50 or so and another night at Lynx Creek Pizza for about $25. You can manage to a budget but do plan on it running more than it would at home.
