The OP posted a link to a security site that says they are now pushing the new passport rules ahead one week, to January 7th, 2007 so that holiday travel would be covered without a passport. After that, I bet cha cruise prices begin to fall as many still cruise without a passport.

Always double check before you travel to be sure the dates have not changed. When in doubt, obtain a passport anyway. It is easy to do.
