buster parry Posted August 13, 2006 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2006 Hi, We are on Navigator on back to back 4th November & 11th November, my 1st cruise and I am confused as to what you pay for once on the ship. For instance; What is and how much is the 'Soda Card',(seen it mentioned) and can it be used for coffees etc? Do you get drinks included with meals,ie, coffee with breakfast? If you go to a cafe on board in between mealtimes do you pay? Really appreciate any help any cruiser can give. Many Thanks Margaret & Peter
piercetc4 Posted August 13, 2006 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2006 you pay extra for cocktails, soft drinks - soda card is like 4-5 dollars a day for kids and 6 or 7 dollars a day for adults, specialty coffees, johnny rockets, specialty restaurants- chops and portofino's , spa treatments, some exercise classes, excursions, purchases made in gift shops, tips , internet, cellphone useage while onboard not in ports ...i think, casino, and that is all i can think of- others will add to this - may have been easier to list the things that come with the cruise purchase price....lol :)

I think they charge what the traffic will bear! You will have to check exactly what deal they are offering on your particular trip ... Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and juices with breakfast, coffee, tea and ice tea with lunch, coffee, tea and ice tea with dinner are all included. Coffee, tea and ice tea are always available in the buffet and are included. I THINK they also had lemonade in the buffet. Coffee and tea from room service at any time are included. Of course, "specialty" coffees are extra. Soft drinks used to be included at mealtime in the dining room on RCI -- but I am not sure if that has changed. In any of the bars, lounges, theaters or public rooms you will be charged for all drinks, including coffee, juice and soft drinks. Have a GREAT cruise! buster parry Posted August 13, 2006 Author #5 Share Posted August 13, 2006 Thanks so much I see you are not a novice cruiser unlike us! Any other advice/tips would be greatly appreciated as I feel a little apprehensive at what to expect!!
39august Posted August 13, 2006 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2006 There is also lemonade in the Windjammer for lunch and afternoon snacks. The Windjammer buffet is typically open for lunch from 11:30-3:00 and snacks from 3PM-5PM. Then open at 6:30 for dinner if you don't elect to eat in the dining room some night. Better yet, the Promenade Cafe is open virtually 24 hrs. a day with great sandwiches, pizza, fruit, pastries, cookies, coffee, tea and hot chocolate at no extra charge. The solarium pool will also have food at certain hours, usually hamburgers, hot dogs, fries, and cookies. Just look in your daily Compass for hours. Room service is available 24 hours at no charge for food. There is no charge for soft-serve ice cream which I think on Navigator is outside the Windjammer on the pool deck. Oh, and about those cookies: they are all great, but the coconut ones are to die for! You are going to love Navigator. She is a beauty. Be sure to go to Boleros Bar. Even if you don't drink and get one of their great mojitos, you've got to see the glass art.

This should be the price for all the ships. Plus the 15% gratuity
