Laptops in room on AOS

Just trying to decide if I should take my wireless laptop or buy time from the Internet Cafe on Board AOS?

Is the connection in the cabins fairly quick for email or are the computers in Internet Cafe better?

Any advice is appreciated as we leave next weekend.

We are the type of couple that feels bereft without the internet ----- but not on the cruise. We were on AOS last summer, we couldn't get the internet in the cabin, but there were hot spots around around the ship and the internet area was fine too. We logged on about 5 times during the week. The main reason we took the lap top was to download photos from the digital camera. With all the airport hassles, I wouldn't take the lap top if you just want to log on occasionally.
