Promenade cabin - warning

Just back from the Mariner last week. We had booked 2 promenade cabins for the kids. Although the view was great, the sound from below was not. The cabins we situated over one of the bars and the band played til at least 11:30 every night and til 1:30 on the last nite. Some nights it was really hard to get the kids to sleep (especially the last nite when we knew we had to get up very early).

 

If you are a late night person, this may not be a problem. But for children and others, be warned.

Never had that problem, always been on Deck 7. What deck were you on?

Yikes I'm sorry for the disruption on your vacation.

We were on the promenade 7th or 8th floor (not directly above the bars) and we didn't hear the noise at all. So maybe that is the better way to go with kids.

Our friends had a similar situation on our last cruise, so now I am very careful making sure what is above me and below me.

My kids were on 7th over Sorrento's on Freedom and

said they never had a problem, but heck a marching

band in their room couldn't wake them up:)
