Just got a email from Sheraton and the special for The Sheraton in Santiago seemed noteworthy. I quote from the email.

Would you stay there again? What did you like/dislike about it? We are planning a 4 day pre-cruise in Santiago in March, 2007 and can't decide where to stay!

Thanks, Jennifer

I thought it was a very decent hotel. Location was a short walk from the main shopping district. Ate the buffet breakfast which was good for a buffet with hot items that were tasty. The pool was very nice. Great views of the andes. Yes, I would not hesitate to stay there again. It was an even shorter walk to Coco's an amazing seafood restaurant in Santiago.

I don't know if I would want to do 4 days in Santiago, but it would be a great base for trips to the vineyards and stuff.
