Disneycruiser#1 Posted July 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 9, 2004 Do we have more time to go to St. Johns on our own and save a lot of money or is it worth doing the Princess Excursion for $49 to St. John/Trunk Bay? Thanks!!!
Krazy Kruizers Posted July 10, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 10, 2004 :) You didn't say how long you have in St Thomas. If you have a lot of time, then take a taxi to Red Hook and then a ferry over to St John's. Be certain to time your taxi ride and ferry ride so that you will know when to leave St John. Pick up the ferry schedule in Red Hook for the return trip. :)

jean-lynd Posted July 14, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 14, 2004 You will have plenty of time to enjoy St. John. The last time we were there we had enough time to spend a couple of hours at Trunk Bay and then we went over the Cinnamon Bay for a few more hours before we headed back. It was a wonderful day and it was so nice being in control of the amount of time that we wanted to spend on each beach. I can't remember exactly what it cost us but I know it was cheaper then the ship excursions. We also had our own snorkel gear so that helped. I hope this helps! MandyGirl Posted July 14, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 14, 2004 You can usually do it cheaper on your own. You'll be traveling on the same ferries... unless Princess has added their own fleet of ferries recently! :) Rates for cabs/ferries (and schedules) can be found on www.*****
