Ship excursion vs. on own?

Recommended Posts

:)

You didn't say how long you have in St Thomas.

If you have a lot of time, then take a taxi to Red Hook and then a ferry over to St John's.

Be certain to time your taxi ride and ferry ride so that you will know when to leave St John. Pick up the ferry schedule in Red Hook for the return trip.

You will have plenty of time to enjoy St. John. The last time we were there we had enough time to spend a couple of hours at Trunk Bay and then we went over the Cinnamon Bay for a few more hours before we headed back. It was a wonderful day and it was so nice being in control of the amount of time that we wanted to spend on each beach. I can't remember exactly what it cost us but I know it was cheaper then the ship excursions. We also had our own snorkel gear so that helped. I hope this helps!
