HMSDingy Posted September 5, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 5, 2006 Can people please be careful of the wording used on a new thread? I have come across so many posts that remind me of those supermarket tabloids where the headlines smack you in the face. You are scaring away potential cruisers. O.K. BACK TO WORK! I have come across so many posts that remind me of those supermarket tabloids where the headlines smack you in the face. You are scaring away potential cruisers. O.K. BACK TO WORK! I have no doubt as to what you are talking about. Use of words like "liars" and "all terrible" immediatly come to mind as they are here on the 1st page. Have you noticed though, that when reasonable minds question these claims there is usually nothing but fluff to support them. Hopefully most potential cruisers will recognize them for what they are, attention seekers.
derf5585 Posted September 5, 2006 #11 Share Posted September 5, 2006 “Doc Dance” Sends Two to Hospital; Injures Many LYNOT REALSON STAFF REPORTER A cruise document dance turned catastrophic yesterday morning after a missed step caused a traffic disaster. Emergency crews were called to 325 Dundas St. West where Mary Robbins, an avid cruiser, was struck by a passing auto after her traditional celebration dance for the arrival of her cruise documents went terribly wrong. “She was jumping around, having a great time,” a bystander says, “when she tripped on a large crack in the sidewalk, and fell into oncoming traffic. It was horrible.” The driver of the suspect auto was also injured, when he steered into two other cars, trying to avoid Robbins. This caused six other cars to come crashing into the scene, leaving many with bumps and cuts, but no other serious injuries. Robbins’ family told The Star: “She won’t be doing the doc dance ever again. She has definitely learned her lesson. We just hope her injuries fully heal in time for her September sailing on a Carnival Cruise Lines ship.” Robbins suffered from a broken arm, and the driver of the vehicle suffered two broken ribs. Cruisin' Chick Posted September 6, 2006 #14 Share Posted September 6, 2006 How about if those starting a thread can title their thread succently so you don't have to click on it to find out the topic or question. Instead of "I have a question", try stating your question like "how will a hurricane affect my cruise" or "Does C-541 on the Star have pull down 3rd/4th beds".
