Tipping for room service?

When I order room service, am I supposed to tip the person who brings it to my room? And I am talking about handing them cash...not the $10 on my account. Thanks in advance! :)

Yes you are and $1 or $2 will work..

Yes, a buck or a couple, depending on what you are ordering.

Yes you tip them when they bring it, we tip 2 or 3 dollars.

Room service is not included in the $10 per day so yes you should tip them. Most seem to say $1 to $2 depending upon the amount of the order. I did this several times. They were always very prompt with the order.

I always tipped the server $2.00 for each one

I always tip room service according to what they bring me, my rule is $1 per item, if i get 1 cup of coffee $1 if i get coffee and a bagel $2, you get the pattern.

But everyone tips them different so you will just have to keep lots of $1's handy and decide when the time comes.

$1 is sufficient for small orders like coffee and croissants. $2 if more items. I'd never tip over $2.
