San Juan Embassy Suites Hotel & Casino

If you go to tripadvisor you will be able to read reviews on it. Seem to have favorable reviews. We are sailing Feb. 25 but going to SJ 3 days early. We have a 2 room suite at Hampton Inns and Suites for 224.00 a night. Going to try Priceline when it gets closer. They get really good reviews also. They just have the breakfast buffet no happy hour.

Good Luck and have a great trip!!

I don't know if they still have any specials but we stayed for $250/night. The room was huge and right on the water with a huge, gorgeous pool!!

We paid with our Amex- so they upgraded us to 'Club Level', which included 5 meal presentations a day (shrimp, sandwiches, desserts, etc.), bottles of wine to choose from and some mixers and alcohol to make your own drinks. *I am assuming it was the Amex (if not they were just very kind). :)

They even gave us several cans of soda and bottled water to pack when we were telling them about the cruise.

Several other passengers on the AoS were staying there as well.

If you can find a deal--- its a great hotel just minutes from the airport with a great beach!

I am also a Marriott and Embassy Suites fan so that would have been one of my other choices if the Ritz didn't have such a great rate.

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites several times, and are booked again in November. It is a short pleasant walk to the beach, which is beautiful, and of course the happy hour and breakfasts are great. You have an Outback Steakhouse there as well as a casino. It is a short walk to the Pueblo (very nice grocery store) to stock up on any items you may want to take along. The pool area is very pretty, and the rooms are soundproof. You hear no noise from the airport which is very nearby. The Hampton is very nice as well, and quiet, too. It does not have the other amenities of the Embassy.

My husband is a teacher (in Michigan) which makes him a State Employee so we qualified for the government rate at the San Juan Embassy Suites and I want to say it was around $169. Look into any possible rate deals you may qualify for.

We thought it was a nice pre-cruise stay - very good service, short cab ride from the airport.

Mikec5426 - you definitely got a deal. Best price I can get for February, 1 night, bottom rate, is $589!!! Sheesh. Checking others that ya'll recommended - thanks.

I just looked and it appears its only during this time of year (I guess a low season)?? Sorry I didn't see it was in February- it looks like it doubles by then!! I would NOT pay anywhere close to that either! The $200/night range is our max (but we like stuff included--- breakfast, happy hours, etc.) That way we can make up for it! haha ;-)
