sorcha Posted September 10, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 10, 2006 I'm going to Martinque on the Legend in October. The only thing I am really interested in seeing is Josephine Bonaparte's home. From the web site it looks like a beautiful park and a small museum. Has anyone been there? Is it a waste of time? Second question is the island web site states that the currency is the French franc. Well, the French don't use the franc anymore. So does the island use the old franc or the new euro? I have some old coins that I could get rid of. Cruise Junky Posted September 12, 2006 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2006 From everything I've read, they take the Euro.
pomliane Posted September 22, 2006 #3 Share Posted September 22, 2006 You're right, Euro is the currency used in martinique. As for Josephine's museum it's a small charming park with a the little house where josephine lived. You'll have a nice time there, and Trois Ilets is a charming little city. Enjoy,
