Rickster 1662 Posted September 21, 2006 #1 Share Posted September 21, 2006 I will be cruising on the Crown this November out of San Juan and would like to know the availability and cost of taxis at the airport in San Juan to take you to the ship. Also, I understand that shuttle service is also available for purchase from Princess at the airport for $30/person. Can anyone confirm that? bphman Posted September 21, 2006 #4 Share Posted September 21, 2006 No brainer. Take a Taxi. There are a ton of Taxis at both the airport and pier. They are clean and the fare is set by the government. There is a dispatcher who will give you a slip for the total amount. Tip is extra. We needed a van because we are 5 with alot of luggage and the only added charge was for luggage. Best Taxi system I ever saw but, beware. When you hail a Taxi in town, negotiate the fare before entering. Only had one problem. For the most part, the cab drivers are honest and hardworking.
