"48-hour" courtesy hold

Last night, I put a "48-hour" courtesy hold on a cabin for the Century's holiday cruise. I have to wait until tomorrow to talk to my boss and my TA. Last night, after I had shut down my computer, Celebrity sent me an email saying, "The courtesy hold on your Celebrity cruise vacation will expire in less than 24 hours."

On calling Celebrity this morning, however, I found out that the hold is good through tomorrow at 5 p.m. It's not quite 48 hours, but it's certainly better than having the hold expire today.

The Celebrity website said the cruise was "On hold until 25-Sep-2006." But I did not know what time it expired.
