Century new website

I posted something before you, but no takers. I agree the ship looks perfectly beautiful. I especially like the balcony room view, since this will be my first balcony, I can hardly contain myself.:D

Sorry, I missed your post. The Martini Bar is my favorite! I am looking at booking the Century in November as they have great rates for that period but I am stuck between booking Caribbean Princess 7 night and Century for 5 nights. I sailed with the Caribbean Princess 2 weeks ago and was actually really surprised how good it was, it was much better then what I expected. I love the anytime dining concept and the sooner Celebrity introduce this concept the better.

Would love to sail the Century but the extra 2 nights on the Caribbean princess sounds a little more temtping.

Slot ~ I saw your post but just got home from work. CONGRATS on your first balcony. It's a really bad habit to start but you are going to absolutely love it.

Now for my "commentary." Century looks terrific but I sure wish folks at Celebrity would begin realizing that for months all anyone wanted was to see photos of her. While this new "virtual" look is very nice, they could have saved a lot of time and money and made those wanting to "see" Century long before now happy if they had skipped the fancy multi-media presentation and just given us the photos. That's my two cents (and it's probably not worth that ;) ).

We sail on her in Dec. Can't wait!

Happy sailing to all who are sailing her soon!

I just have to say...it doesn't show what I want to see....it takes FOREVER to load...Is it just my computer??? Sorry to complain. Just frustrated hoping to see the re-modeled RS and PH's. I think our chances of viewing pictures are better from our fellow CC Century sailors!!!!!

CENTURY is our FAVORITE ship, hands down! We were on her last voyage, the TA to Barcelona, where she immediately steamed off to Italy for refurbishment. We could hardly wait to see her new look.

I have to agree with Host Anne: I sure wish Celebrity would have posted some nice stills instead of waiting for a fancy multi-media presentation ... it would have whetted the appetite even further and boosted sales immediately.

The new video is beautiful ... they took my favorite ship and made her a knockout! I can't WAIT to get on it again!

A little slow for me too.

And I agree; only the Sky Suite? What about all of the other different room categories?

I guess we'll never be happy until we're on her :) Glad we don't have too much longer!

Hi, we returned yesterday and had cabin 8135 (cat 2A) on century- it was exactly the same as the 'burgundy' coloured cabin, so I think it's not that there's only a Sky suite, but Celebrity haven't explained the photo's well.

Have to say we loved our cabin and the wonderful Stateroom Attendant Shetty and Assistant Eduardo - the TV was a little erratic, but apart from that, couldn't fault either the cabin or cabin service - only problem is that having the balcony has spoiled us - I don't think I'd like to cruise without one in future, expecially on a ship like Century with a very crowded pool area (we didn't scrabble for seating, just sat on our balcony in privacy and enjoyed the excellent room service facility!

In case anyone's wondering, despite being very close to midship elevators, we heard virtually no noise once in the cabin and found it to be very conveniently situated.

With very best wishes

Lesley and Phil

Regarding the slowness of the loading. It loaded pretty fast on my work computer (what I am not working:eek: ) and my home computer as well. At home I have a cable connection and work is a DSL. I suppose its just the computer itself.

I have to agree that the presentation should have been better. I would have liked to see more of the casino as well as the dining room. But in any event the anticipation still mounts. I also think they should have shown more rooms besides the balconies.

We have a great Internet connection, but I'm sure this was slow to load for those who don't. It was fun and exciting watching this presentation, but we would have loved still pictures. The presentation kept blurring in and out, leaving us feeling like we were missing opportunities to see more of the ship.

Truthfully, though, we won't be satisfied by any amount of pictures until we've actually sailed her.

I agree. We will sail her in March with 10 of our adult siblings/spouses -- most of whom will be on a cruise for the first time. They all have insides and outsides, so it would have been nice for them to see those. Personally, I prefer stills and 360's, on everything, and found the fast pans and, on my computer, narrow band of pics before opening on a large one to be frustrating as you tried to see what was there. Spa, casino, cc veranda, Murano -- how about what we ordinary people will use -- pool, regular dining room, and buffet, disco/rendevous lounge?

The view of the Balcony on the Sky Suite the Butler is Cliff our butler from our cruise 9/2/06 - the suite looked exactly like ours.

the bartender at the Martini Ice Bar was not the woman shown but Sudi from Bali and he is the best at entertaining like Tom Cruise in "Cocktail"

Plus he did card tricks and magic. Loved him.

the videos are great and really show off the new Century
