Getting off the ship

How long did it take you to get off the ship?

 

1st time cruising

I was on the Miracle 9/10/06 and once the ship cleared customs and called for "general" debarkation, I'd say about 30 minutes. It was well organized and went smooth and fast!

I have had it take anywhere from 15 minutes to 3 hours, it all depends on customs, immigration, etc.

15 minutes on the last Celebration cruise. As i drove out of the port I still saw people up on deck. LUCKY GUYS

Depends a lot on the port. New Orleans - about 30 minutes from announcement that the ship has been cleared. Miami - close to two hours. Customs there is a real B----! Rome, Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa - about an hour.

Fastest was less than 7 mins through customs in Galveston I was in class by 9:00 am and I'm 90 miles away!!!!!

This is one thing that Carnival excels at!!! We have never been onboard more than an hour or so after the ship has been cleared by Customs. Our last we were in a cab at 8:15. But on our Princess cruise, we did not get off that ship and to our truck until noon!! :(

We became Carnival Vacation Club Members after it took us 3 hours to get off the Miracle. Now we have priority Embarktion and Disembarktion has made my DH a cruiser

Over 3 hours on the Elation in Galveston in April. Our first cruise but veteran cruiser were saying theyve never seen anything like that. It was her last cruise out of there and a lot of the crew was jumping ship, to the Ecstacy i presume so that might have factored in. Self debarktation is the clue if you are able to take your luggage off.
