HAL on HGTV

Was channel surfing, when I saw something familiar on "Take Over My Makeover" - the episode called "Vintage Vegas Bedroom"

They used some photographs to illustrate the style they were going for - and the pix looked awfully familiar.* Turns out, they used these pix off Westerdam!

Cool!

I wish the Travel Channel would come up with a cruise show. Have their people take cruises and do half-hour programs on them. They could travel on all lines, all sorts of itineraries. Wouldn't that make for excellent viewing?

And to think CBS Network TV did a special 1/2 hour program on the QM2 and its Captain. NCL has 15 second spots now on CBS NBC etc here..

Why not HAL ?

The ms Noordams home port is NYC...

What a wonderful TV human interest story and Dutch History of NYC etc.. could be done... Yes the Dutch did buy Manhattan Island from the wrong group of N American Aboriginals (Indians) and paid for it in beads etc.. then gave it to the English in a bloodless coup...

Yes HAL did start via NYC and Rotterdam ..

Are there TV Commercials for HAL there?

Where?

jtl513,

I noticed you are on the same sailing as we are. We have a roll call started and are planning a meet & greet on the first sea day, if you are interested, please let us know on the roll call board.

You are sooo right there...do reviews of the ships on film with actual shots of what they are talking about...I would be all over that!

There was a show on Food Network Saturday featuring Freedom of the Seas... the host shows the preparations for a huge United Way benefit dinner for 1,800 guests on the ship. Great views of the galley, food storage, food carving, and the entire ship.

The show was "Behind the Bash" and here is a link:

Yes the trave channel does do the cruise shows but they are the same ones over and over and over. The just had James Deering on as the HotMan on an NCL ship. That is one old show. I do wish they would do some new ones. I really like to watch them when I have a cruise coming up and especially when I don't.

I was just going to mention this show when I saw your post. DH and I watched it and really enjoyed it. The host(ess) was a little 'annoying' IMO but the show was very good.
