Bbrave Posted October 12, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 12, 2006 Hi all, I am a first time cruiser and is having a hard time to choose between these two Crown Princess itineraries: 1) San Juan - Barbados - St. Lucia - Antigua - St. Martin - St. Thomas - San Juan 2) San Juan - St. Thomas - St. Kitts and Nevis -Grenada - Bonaire - Aruba - San Juan Could you give me some suggestion please? Thank you a lot!

Pam in CA Posted October 12, 2006 #6 Share Posted October 12, 2006 Yup... me too. Given the choice, I'd got for #2.

cynbar Posted October 13, 2006 #8 Share Posted October 13, 2006 I'd absolultely do door # 2, we did the same itinerary on the Golden last year and really loved it, it's a great mix between unspoiled islands and more developed islands, plus the sea day at the end is just right. Here's a link to our webshots, if you go to Golden Princess you'll get a good idea of what to expect: http://community.webshots.com/user/cynbar101. Be sure to buy some frsh spices on Grenada if you go!!
ldoc31 Posted October 13, 2006 #9 Share Posted October 13, 2006 I would take number 1 for a first time cruiser.
cbcaper Posted October 13, 2006 #10 Share Posted October 13, 2006 It depends on if you want to spend more time in port or on the ship as #1 has more time in each port. So as a first time cruiser you may want to take in more sites in port. They both have great itineraries. Or you could do as we are take 1 and 2. That way you can't be disappointed. IKE Posted October 14, 2006 #11 Share Posted October 14, 2006 My Vote is for #2 without any doubts.
TEXASMUNK Posted October 14, 2006 #12 Share Posted October 14, 2006 and when you get to Grenada....no matter what, you have got to visit Grand Anse Beach One of the WORLD"S TOP TEN. Period, bar not, absolutely beautiful.
MauiLvrs Posted October 14, 2006 #13 Share Posted October 14, 2006 We're doing both.... If we had to pick one it would be #1. Rather see: Barbados than Grenada St. Lucia than St. Kitts - Pittons Antigua than Aruba St. Martin than Bonaire - Americas cup race
cruiseapril Posted October 14, 2006 #14 Share Posted October 14, 2006 If you are beach and sun lovers, Aruba has beautiful beaches. If you like snorkeling, Bonaire is the place for this sport. We've been to both islands several times- we are beach folks- but these islands have a desert climate with cacti and low vegetation.
jad7984 Posted October 14, 2006 #15 Share Posted October 14, 2006 #1 for a first time cruiser. #2 for a more experienced cruiser Enjoy your cruise whatever ports you decide to visit:D
