Crossing the Atlantic

We are considering this 15 day cruise in March '08. Can anyone give us information as to the roughness of the Atlantic on this itinerary. We will be at sea for 3 days after leaving from Recife, Brazil and will then dock in Porto Grande, Cape Verde. Our final destination is Barcelona. Your comments would be appreciated.

I took a transatlantic trip last year (Western Europe to NY, so northern atlantic)...we had 6 days at sea coming back...most of that was very calm and mostly sunny. I think we had 2 days of rougher seas.

I would be prepared for rougher conditions and be pleased if it wasn't too bad.

As with most cruises it is unpredictible as to what the seas will be like. I have experienced everything from almost glass smooth to 20 foot waves. The good news is that generally the souther crossing is smoother than the northern crossing.

 

I would agree with Penny Again - Prepare for the worst and be happy when it is pleasant.
