I am very disappointed that we are not going to Huahine ( New Year's cruise) instead that is an additional half day at Motu Mahana. Does that mean there is half day motu program? Anyone ever had this itinerary?

That's weird. I wonder why they cancelled Huahine! An extra half-day at Taha'a might give you an opportunity to do one of the tours on that island.
