Heathrow or Gatwick

Which is the better airport to fly into? Flew into Heathrow a few years ago and it was a zoo. Is Gatwick any better? Thanks. Vicki

it does depend on where you need to be as far as the choice of Airport goes.

I prefer to fly in and out of Gatwick over Heathrow as to me it is an easier airport to get around given its smaller size compared to Heathrow.

 

In terms of which one to fly in and out of I would also take into acocunt where you are trying to get to along with the airline flight options in and out of each airport.

This advice is spot on.

 

You should primarily be looking at the flight options from where you're starting, plus your destination within the UK.

 

Myself, I fly to/from Heathrow on 95%+ of my trips simply because of where I'm going.
