USNDiver Posted October 20, 2006 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2006 Booked into a Superior Suite (#6090) on the Oosterdam May 5th. What's the difference in the letter designation on the suites (SS,SY,SZ?) We're assigned an "SY" suite but can't tell any difference between ours and the "SS's" and "SY's." Does it have to do with cabin/balcony, size or it's location on the ship? Any help appreciated. Dave
jhannah Posted October 20, 2006 #2 Share Posted October 20, 2006 It's location. SS cabins tend to be midships and on higher decks. The others fore or aft and lower down. If you go to the HAL website and look at deck plans, you can see the difference. The SS cabins are wonderful, IMO. Lots of room, and the bathroom is very nice. (Two sinks, separate shower, etc.)
